You are now holding my latest e-ink station for displaying stocks. Thank you for purchasing it. I believe it will serve you well and bring you joy.

Simple steps:

1. Turn on the station using the RESET button on the back. Upon first startup, the station will broadcast its own WiFi network named STOCKS-ABCDEFGH. Connect to this WiFi network using your phone or computer.
2. After connecting to this WiFi network, a setup page should appear automatically. If it doesn't, open http://192.168.4.1 in your browser.
3. On this page, fill in the details to connect to your home WiFi network. Enter your WiFi network name and password. Do not save it just yet.
4. On the next tab, you can configure which stocks you want to monitor. Enter the symbol of a stock, index, cryptocurrency, or currency pair. You can also set a time interval for which a graph may be displayed. For each stock, you can optionally enter your purchase price, and the station will then show the profit or loss as a percentage.
5. In the advanced settings, you can choose:
   • Data update interval. Keep in mind that with an hourly interval, the battery can last almost a year on a single charge.
   • Color scheme.
   • Time zone.
6. After entering all the information, click the Save button. The station will restart and connect to your home WiFi network.

If the station does not connect to your WiFi network, it will once again broadcast its own WiFi network named STOCKS-ABCDEFGH. Follow the same steps as during the first startup.

After every restart, the station checks whether a newer version of the firmware is available and updates automatically. The update and the setup popup after a restart only run when the battery is charged to at least 50 %.

AI-Powered News

With every data update, the station automatically finds the most relevant article for your main tickers. The article text is downloaded and sent to an AI service, which summarizes it into a short paragraph in your configured language. The news is presented as new information, with key facts highlighted in bold.

News summaries are displayed on large tiles (1–2 tickers on the full screen) and in the bottom info bar. Summaries are cached – if the article hasn't changed since the last update, the AI is not called again, saving battery.

This feature requires no setup – it works automatically once connected to the internet.

During normal operation, the station is completely turned off and only downloads and displays current data at selected intervals. It does not broadcast any WiFi network and is not continuously connected to your home WiFi network. Thanks to this, the battery can last for several months on a single charge. The station can be connected to power using a USB-C connector. While charging, a red LED lights up. Once charging is complete, the LED turns off.

If you need to reconfigure anything in the station, simply reset it using the RESET button on the back. The station will restart and broadcast its WiFi network named STOCKS-ABCDEFGH for 5 minutes. Connect to this network as you did during the first setup, and you can change the settings – such as updating the stock symbols being displayed, etc.

After each power-on (using the RESET button), an information popup will appear for 5 minutes showing connection options:

• Direct connection - the station creates its own WiFi network (STOCKS-ABCDEFGH) that you can connect to. The settings address is 192.168.4.1.
• Via home network - if the station is connected to your home WiFi network, its IP address in that network will also be displayed. You can connect from any device on the same network.
